SAFE SKIING AWARD
OBJECTIVE:
To recognize the efforts
of an individual or group within the Patrol who has:

Made
an important contribution to the efforts of the Patrol to make
skiing a safer and more enjoyable sport,
-
Acted at a level above
that which is normally expected of the member or group,
-
Motivated others within
the System to support/expand those efforts.
To create a broadening
of awareness of the role of the Patrol in the promotion of safe
skiing both within and beyond the System.
A member or group of
members in good standing.
Preference should be
shown for:
-
Those
submissions which support the safety programs currently emphasized
by the System.

Activities which generate
favourable publicity among the general skiing public,
-
Programs or activities
which can be implemented on a broad scale within the System.
In any given year, the
award need not be given if in the opinion of the Awards Committee
the nominee's contribution does not meet the objectives. Similarly,
the award should not shared.
The recipient's name(s) will be engraved
on the Safe Skiing Trophy which they will retain for one year.
They will also receive an engraved plaque.
